Inauguration of snow festival at Malam Jabba by Commisioner Malakand and dc swat.
This festival is arranged by district administration SWAT along with Samson group of companies .Purpose is to promote tourism in the area as it is a lush Green valley and also to give a message of peace and harmony to the nation and to the world at large.
As we all know, a decade ago this area was indulged in violence, but after a lot of sacrifices of civilians and security forces, we became able to bring peace back to the valley.
This particular festival is a snow festival which includes a lot if segments, like snow art, snow boarding, motivational speeches, yoga and many more. We have also arranged some stalls of traditional Swati handicrafts. Apart from this every night there would be an incredible display of fireworks specially on the new year night.
As of the road and building infrastructure, its an issue as we are facing problems due to land sliding and heavy snow fall, but we are fully committed and working on it and you will have carpeted road by November 2019.
