Accumulation of plastic bag wastes causes environmental pollution that negatively effect human/other living creatures and also deteriorates natural beauty.Plastic bags are not biodegradable and will not decompose or degrade even after years.In order to get rid of plastic bags,District Administration Swat in collaboaration with WSSC, Mingora, has devised a plan to gradually switch towards biodegradable bags.In this connection,AC Sahab Khan and Mr. Shaida, CEO, distributed thousands of biodegradable bags totally free.In the next step, plastic bags will be completely replaced by biodegradable bags in all parts of District Swat.
