Mahodand Lake (Urdu: مہوڈنڈ جھیل‎; Pashto: د ماهو ډنډ‎ – “Lake of Fishes”) is a lake positioned within the higher Usho Valley at a distance of about 40 km from Kalam, Swat District, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan. The lake is accessible by a four-wheel drive car, and is commonly utilized for fishing and boating.[1]

The Mahodand Lake lies on the foothills of Hindu kush mountains at an elevation of two,865 m (9,400 ft), surrounded by the meadows, mountains and dense forests.[2] Equally, the banks of Mahodand lake are coated by pines and pastures that function a tenting website through the summer time. The Mahodand lake is fed by melting glaciers and comes of the Hindu Kush mountain and offers rise to Ushu Khwar, the foremost left tributary of the Swat River.[3]
